How to Throw a Better Party

 

Whether its for Christmas, Thanksgiving or just for fun parties are always a treat. Guests can come to your home and enjoy themselves while mingling with others as you causally move around the room enjoying all the unique personalities of your family and friends. But when the party is at your home it can become quickly overwhelming to plan and host. Here is a simple easy to follow guide to throwing a better party.

Cook Simple Easy to Prepare Food

Chili and Brownies
Turkey and Pie
Ham and Watermelon
Cookies and Desserts
Fruit and Vegetable Salads

Invite Party Guests to Help

Ask guests to bring a dish
Allow guests to help clean up
Invite attendees to step into the kitchen and cook
Assign door answering to a couple of friendly guests

Invite lots of People

Invite people of different interests
Invite different age groups
The more eclectic the better

Serve Quality Drinks, drinks can carry a party

Serve high quality wine
Have available lots of soda and tea for non-drinkers
Keep on hand a variety of mixes for cocktails
Make pitchers of margaritas for an informal fun appeal
Serve martinis in chilled glasses for a touch of class

Always keep your self in mind when planning a party. If you have a particular flare for making chips, salsa and margaritas play on this. On the other hand if youre in the mood for more of a formal approach try martinis and appetizers. Remember to have fun; this party is for you as well as your guests.
