Government; Public Relations Over Service

Each time I pick up the newspaper I read stories about our government at every level as if that is the most important thing, but it really isnt you see. The governments job is to protect us from foreign and domestic threats. And of course it also monitors the flows of our civilization.

It should be running our Nation like a Swiss Clock and we should never have to even hear from it unless there is a major problem or an upcoming event we need to be prepared for you see. Yet, we see the government uses the media to keep them selves in the news and prove to us they are doing something.

That simply is not necessary at all, we should not be hearing from them unless there is a real problem and if there is we ought to be pretty darn angry and step in to remove the culprits and during election time dismiss the scoundrels who caused it and replace them. Well here is the problem the blob of bureaucracy has gotten so big that we need to dismiss 80% of it and all the Congressmen and all the Senators.

And these agencies which constantly float press releases and tout their wonderful service, well we ought to be mighty suspicious of them, what is it they really want? More taxpayers monies for next years fiscal budget; I think not.

We need to reduce the budgets of every government agency by 50% immediately and see that they get the job done on less, put them on a diet, as they are so top heavy they cannot move to get the job done. Government is to protect us, not put us in fear or debt up to our eyeballs. Consider this in 2006.
