It is most strange that the Bible could be so much easily misinterpreted by almost the entire generality of people. All that was necessary was that you listened to the story of the events that happened in the Garden of Eden. Without bothering to cross-check with what the Bible says, you swallowed it all, hook, line and sinker. What is unbelievable is that even when you read that portion of the Bible later, you resolved the conflict in favor of the verbal version. You readily took it that there was a cover up in the Bible.

Truth is, the Bible is the inspired word of GOD. As such, there can never be a lie or deceit in it. Jesus Christ teaches us: Simply let your Yes be Yes, and your No, No; anything beyond this comes from the evil one. Matthew 5:37. Be on your guard against the yeast of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy. There is nothing concealed that will not be disclosed, or hidden that will not be made known. What you have said in the dark will be heard in the daylight, and what you have whispered in the ear in the inner rooms will be proclaimed from the roofs. Luke 12:1-3. Also, the Bible says: GOD is not a man, that he should lie, nor a son of man, that he should change his mind. Numbers 23:19. The likelihood of any lie occurring in the Bible is indeed, very remote. If then there is a twist of the truth, and Yes is no more Yes,and No, No, then we know that the evil one has been very busy, manipulating the human mind.

Immediately after creating man, the Bible tells us: GOD blessed them and said to them, Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Genesis 1:28. Certainly, it should not be in dispute that the LORD GOD blessed sexual relations between Adam and Eve at creation. There is no other way for Adam and Eve to be fruitful, increase in number, fill the earth and subdue it, different than sexual relations without any hindrance to procreation. There is no record that the LORD GOD regulated sexual relations between Adam and Eve, ever.

How come then that the Bible is so much disbelieved in this aspect? I have heard a pregnant teenage girl being described as having tasted the forbidden fruit. In some quarters, sexual activity is referred to as the original sin. Whereas, in fact, the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil had nothing to do with sexual relations. It was simply what it claimed to be: possession of the knowledge of good and evil. Surely, Satan has not been busy deceiving the whole world for nothing. His prize for his effort is that he has successfully prevented man, or rather Christians, from understanding the meaning of eternal life, and how to attain it.

Purging ourselves of all false knowledge and all hearsays, we shall have an unbiased look at that commandment which the LORD GOD gave to Adam. Before we go on, we shall remind ourselves that Yes is Yes. And the LORD GOD commanded the man, You are free to eat from any tree in the garden; but you must not eat from the tree of knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat of it you will surely die. Genesis 2:16-17.

The first thing we want to establish is that this happened in the spiritual life. The Bible says in Revelation 2:7, To him who overcomes, I will give the right to eat from the tree of life, which is in the Paradise of GOD. The death in that commandment referred to death in the spiritual. Death is cessation of all activities. All of the activities of man with GOD came to an end. It became restricted to visions and dreams when the physical nature is passive.

As we all know, through the serpent, Satan tempted Adam and Eve. Can you believe it that Satan confirmed that the fruit was for possessing the knowledge of good and evil? You will not surely die, the serpent said to the woman. For GOD knows that when you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like GOD, knowing good and evil. Genesis 3:1`4-5. Once again, from unexpected quarters, we have confirmation that the tree of knowledge of good and evil had nothing to do with sexual relations. What the LORD GOD said concerning the commandment, His Yes being Yes, was really for obtaining the knowledge of good and evil. There was no lie or cover up.

We shall now consider the two verses in the Bible that hold the power of life and death over man. These verses convey the gravity of the banishment of Adam from the Garden of Eden. And the LORD GOD said, The man has now become like one of us, knowing good and evil. He must not be allowed to reach out his hand and take also from the tree of life and eat, and live for ever. So the LORD GOD banished him from the Garden of Eden to work the ground from which he had been taken. Genesis 3:22-23. The natural consequence of the banishment as pronounced in the passage quoted above, is that if man wants to have eternal life, he must first find his way back to spiritual life with GOD.

We have to find out the reason why mans personal possession of knowledge of good and evil is so incompatible with a life with GOD. It is the differences of opinion in matters relating to good and evil that remove everything that promote peace in this world. On the other hand, in the kingdom of GOD, there is only one mind, the single mind of GOD. Jeremiah 32: 38-39. If Adam had eaten the fruit of life, he would have obtained Divine knowledge of good and evil. He would have participated in Divine Nature. 2 Peter 1:4. In other words, this would have brought about unity between GOD and man. Let us note that there is no other condition for man to live with GOD.

The banishment from the Garden amounted to death. Adam continued existence in flesh and blood, in a physical world which Satan rules. The key point is that the death of Adam in the spiritual denied man access to the process of eternal life. Let us note that that death in the spiritual is irreversible. For man, eternal life with GOD therefore becomes impossible. The good news is that Jesus Christ makes the difference.

The purpose of the Mission of Jesus Christ is to bring man back to spiritual life with GOD for another chance of eternal life. By this, He remains the only way to the Father. John 14:6. The resurrection of Jesus Christ in the Spiritual guarantees the possible return of man to the Paradise of GOD where participating in the Divine Nature is possible.

What then are the processes involved?

1. Repent.

2. Believe in everything Jesus Christ stands for.

3. Confirm the New Covenant by eating the body and drinking the blood of Jesus Christ. The promise of GOD to save man is in this Covenant. Salvation is definitely impossible outside the New Covenant.

4. Baptism unites you with Jesus Christ in His death and resurrection. You are washed in the blood of Jesus Christ, and your sins are forgiven. You are reconciled with GOD in the spiritual. You have been born of water.

5. You are born of Spirit, that is, your spirit is led by the Spirit of GOD when you eat the fruit of the tree of life. Revelation 22:14.

We shall now correlate this with the teaching of Jesus Christ. I tell you the truth, no one can see the kingdom of GOD unless he is born again. He then gave the following explanation on how one can be born again: I tell you the truth, no one can enter the kingdom of GOD unless he is born of water and the Spirit. Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit. John 3:3-6. Satan is flesh. He rules this world of flesh and blood. GOD is Spirit. He rules mans spirit in the kingdom of GOD. The first birth happened in the Garden of Eden.

It is unfortunate and pathetic to observe that the practice whereby Christians give their lives to Jesus, and go on to claim that they are born of water and of Spirit, that is born again, is bogus and completely meaningless as well. It is sad to observe that Christians are on the sure road to HELL. It is impossible for man to gain eternal life unless he first returns to life with GOD in the spiritual. The only way to achieve this is to be born of water.

In the Garden of Eden, Adam inadvertently prevented the unity between the Spirit of GOD and mans spirit. The purpose of the Mission of Jesus Christ is to bring about this unity. Let us see how. It was he who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers, to prepare GODs people for the work of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of GOD and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ. Ephesians 4:11-13. There is no church that aims at achieving that.

Jesus Christ puts this more succinctly. He prayed for us shortly before He was arrested: That all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me. I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one: I in them and you in me. May they be brought to complete unity to let the world know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me. John 17:21-23. That passage adequately describes someone who has been born again.

If you have been encouraged to give your life to Jesus with the false hope that you become born again, you definitely need a rethink. Jesus Christ did not say that if you gave your life to Him, you would become born again. What matters is for your spirit to attain unity with the Spirit of GOD. This is obviously impossible if your spirit is still dead to the Spirit of the LORD GOD. All the other things count for nothing. In all honesty, it appears Christians have benefited nothing from the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. This is a great pity!
