Bahamas - An Exciting 3 Day Getaway!

If you are looking for an exciting quickie vacation you have found it. You can get away to the Bahamas for a short three days and have the time of your life!

Three days off would normally be just a long weekend but with an exciting getaway to the Bahamas it turns three days into an adventure! There is so much to do and think of the memories you will make. If you are looking for a break from the same old' same old', something to refresh your spirit and revitalize your mind then look no further. If you are the type of person looking for dining, shopping and the nightlife, then go right over to Nassau located on New Providence

Here is a sample of just some of the things you could be doing.

If you decide on vacationing in New Providence, you could spend your first morning in the middle of Nassau taking a look at all of the historic sights. At the noon hour you could then spend some time partaking of a leisurely lunch and then take time from the rest of your day to do some serious shopping. Make sure that you take some time to check out the Straw Market.

For the really adventurous at heart, that feel lucky, you could test your luck in one or both of the two casinos to be found here. There is one on Cable Beach and another one at the Atlantis resort on close by Paradise Island.

On the second day of your getaway you can start by checking out the beautiful sights on the island's eastern region. These consist of St. Augustine's Monastery and the Retreat. Then you can keep on going to the west and go on around the island. You might wish to spend some time visiting the Commonwealth Brewery or even the Bacardi Distillery. Afterwards you can head back toward Nassau.

Stop off at Arawak Cay to have a quick, native-style lunch. Then you can continue on and stop to see the Nassau Botanic Gardens, Fort Charlotte or Ardastra Gardens and Conservation Center. The Conservation Center is home to the famous marching flamingos. You should have an enjoyable time visiting one or all three of these fantastic places. Now, when you get done there if you have any energy left you may wish to dance away the night in one of the local clubs or go to see a dazzling show offered by one of the resorts.

On the last day of your mini-vacation you can spend the day on Paradise Island. On Paradise Island you can stroll through the Atlantis resort. Go ahead and visit the incredible 3-mile-long Cabbage Beach or beautiful Paradise Beach. You may also like to try spending a few minutes in the charming Versailles Gardens.

Then, if you still have any energy left and are looking for something fun to do, then water sports abound.

Nassau offers the opportunity to swim with the dolphins. At Blue Lagoon Island Dolphin Encounter, off of Cable Beach, you can stand waist deep in a secluded pool of water and play with the trained dolphins. If you wish to you can put on snorkeling gear and go swimming with them.

Can you imagine the looks on the face of your friends and family when you tell them that you swam with dolphins? If they do not believe you then you can pull out your vacation pictures and prove it to them.

Or if you would rather you can spend the rest of your time just relaxing on the beach.

However you wind up you time on the Bahamas you could not ask for a better place to visit. Beautiful water, beaches, sunshine and adventures abound on this three-day get away. Start planning your trip today.
